Dental implants are lasting, stable tooth replacements that can be used to replace one missing tooth, several missing teeth or complete arches of teeth. The dental implant post, which is a titanium screw, is surgically placed in the jawbone at the site of the missing tooth.

It replaces the missing tooth root and ensures that your dental restoration is stable. A period of healing is then often required to allow the bone to begin to bond with the biocompatible post.

Following this healing period, our oral surgeons will place the dental implant restoration, or replacement tooth, which fits on top of the implant post.

Depending on which teeth are missing and your personal dental needs, your implant restoration might be a dental crown, dental bridge, or a complete or partial denture. Each dental implant restoration is custom made to fit your smile comfortably and aesthetically.

Replacing a missing tooth can restore your smile to optimal health, function and appearance. A dental implant is a great option for restoring your smile because the implant is designed to look, function and feel just like your natural teeth, and with proper care, it can last a lifetime.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

The cost of dental implants can vary greatly depending on several factors, making it difficult to give a definitive answer without knowing more about your specific situation.

There are a few things that will influence the cost of your implant procedure. The biggest factor would be how many implants you will need. Replacing multiple teeth or a full arch with All on 4 would have higher costs than a single implant. Another factor would be other procedures you may need before we install the implant. For example, if you’ve suffered any bone loss in the jawbone, then you might need a bone graft procedure prior to implant surgery.

It’s not a bad idea to check with your dental insurance provider to see how much they might cover. Obviously, if insurance pitches in, your costs will be lower. Again, you’ll want to talk with your provider.

The best way to understand the full cost of your dental implant procedure is to call our office. We can answer any general questions you may have and schedule your consultation with one of our oral surgeons. Our oral surgeons will perform a throughout examination and be able to provide specifics about your dental implant procedure.
