Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Robert Buch and Michael Mansfield manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Drs. Robert Buch and Michael Mansfield practice office based maxillofacial surgery with expertise in dental implant surgery, bone grafting, and wisdom teeth removal. Our staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

The surgical staff at Southwest Center for Oral, Facial and Dental Implant Surgery are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in the administration of I.V. sedation and surgery.
• Administrative Staff
All our staff is informed administrative personnel, well-versed in dental insurance policies.
The purpose of the initial visit with the surgeon is to assess your individual needs, make a diagnosis and discuss treatment options. This is mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia. Please have nothing to eat or drink 6 hours prior to IV anesthesia. You will also need an adult to drive you home.

If your dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
A complete list of all medications you are taking including nonprescription and prescription medications and any dietary or herbal supplements that you take. Should be brought to your appointment.

Southwest Center for Oral, Facial and Dental Implant Surgery is open Monday – Friday from 7 am until 5 pm and Saturday 7 am until 2 pm. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. Please inform the staff if you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact that we provide surgical services, various circumstances may lengthen the time necessary for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due the day services are rendered. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us.
Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by the office regardless of your insurance coverage. We do our very best to accurately estimate your insurance coverage. This estimate is not a guarantee of payment and the actual insurance coverage/payment may be different from the estimate.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within 30 days. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment after that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
